BVS strives to help each of our children learn, grow, develop and ultimately prepare for grade school. We identify and use topics that excite each individual child which makes learning a fun experience instead of a task. Just as each child has their own unique personality and appearance, they also differ in their learning style, motivation, and ability. At BVS these differences are encouraged and embraced through child directed activities while maintaining a structured curriculum. Our curriculum covers core concepts but isn't limited to a time frame, approach, appearance, or activities. We believe success and growth come from positive descriptive encouragement and praise. We focus on nurturing each child's individual natural strengths through encouraging their natural curiosity.
It definitely takes a village to educate a child, and parent involvement in that process is strongly encouraged in all our daily activities and special events.
