NAEYC Accreditation helps teachers and staff to develop a shared understanding of a high quality early childhood learning program through a four step process that focuses on ten areas to implement higher standards in child care. These standards include Relationships, Research Based Curriculum, Teaching, Assessing Each Child's Progress, Health, Staff Competencies Preparation and Support, Families, Community Relationships, Physical Environment, and Leadership and Management.

"The Child Care Licensing Unit (CCLU) ensures that children attending NH child care programs are in safe and healthy environments. The CCLU monitors child care programs to safeguard that children are provided with care, supervision, and the developmentally appropriate activities that meet each child's physical and emotional needs"
