Meet Our Teachers
Ms. Wendy
Director
My name is Wendy Demers, and I have worked in the Early Childhood field for over 30 years. BVS has been my home for six of them! I have earned an Early Childhood Professional Credential Level 3, Early Childhood Administrator Credential Level 1, and Early Childhood Credential Development Specialist Mentor Credential. In the Winter of 2024, I will graduate with my B.A. in Early Childhood Education. I’m thankful for the relationships I build with the families of the children in my care.
I have been married for 25 years and have two beautiful children. In my spare time, I enjoy crochet, reading, spending time with my family, attending concerts, going to the beach, and being up in the mountains.
Ms. Donna

Our fierce leader shares 41 years of experience in Reggio Inspired Programs. She created BVS in 2005. While with leading her pack at BVS, Donna is also on The Barrington Town Planning Board and is a leader in the Barrington Community. Recently, Donna started the Barrington Child Care Collaborative, which supports Family Child Care Centers in the surrounding communities.

Ms. Stephanie
Pines Classroom
Hello, I'm Ms. Stephanie! I have taught in infant classrooms for 4 years. My favorite part about teaching is watching the children grow and learn new things, and all the snuggles of course! I live in Middleton, NH with my husband and 4 year old daughter. We have a dog named Harley, a cat named Ghostie, and a flock of chickens. In my free time I love to go camping, garden, and attempt any DIY craft I can find.

During my time there I worked with infants, toddlers, and preschool aged children! I also graduated with my Associates Degree from Great Bay in 2023. I always knew I wanted to be a teacher and am so happy to be a part of the BVS Team!

Mr. Nate
Oaks Classroom
Hi! My name is Nate Miller and I have my Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Endicott College. I’ve been in Childcare for a little over a year now. I realized I liked working in Early
Childhood Education after working with First and Second Graders during summer camp at The Boys and Girls Club of The Lower Merrimack Valley and working as a Children’s Party Entertainer playing characters such as Spiderman, Captain America, Woody, and many more.
In my spare time, I enjoy theater, ballet, movies, hanging out with my friends and family, and spending time with my wife. My favorite part of working at BVS is getting to know the children and their families while watching them grow socially, emotionally, and developmentally.
Ms. Amie
Redwoods Classroom
My name is Amie Hurd and I have recently started my journey in child care at BVS. I am a proud mother of two beautiful children. I have a degree in Culinary Arts, however after having my second child I was looking for a different career path. After looking into BVS I decided this would be a wonderful place not only for my children to attend but for me to work and learn more about the Reggio program. To me, the Reggio way of teaching and learning is the best form of education for children.

In my spare time I enjoy reading, spending time with my family, and being outdoors either running, hiking or spending the day at the beach.
